The first question of Fatwa No. ( 9807 ):
Q1: What is the ruling on what some people do by sending a garment or shirt to certain people who claim knowledge, in order to identify the ailment and prescribe the medicine thereafter?
A1: It is forbidden to go to those who claim knowledge of the unseen, and it is not permissible to send them a garment, a shirt, or anything else. It is also forbidden to believe what they say; based on the authentic, established hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicating this. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
