Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message reached the program from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, sent by listener (S. S. S), who is Egyptian. He says: I am a young man of Egyptian nationality. I did not pray until I reached the age of twenty, because during that period I did not find anyone to guide me, and I knew nothing about the prayer. So I committed many sins. Then Allah granted me repentance. Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good, regarding what has passed of my life. How should I act?

Answer:
Repentance is sufficient for you, my brother, and praise be to Allah. Since Allah has granted you repentance, repentance is sufficient for you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Repentance wipes out what came before itالتوبة تجب ما قبلها
meaning: it erases what came before it. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam)
So you do not have to make up the past prayers, nor the past fasts, and repentance covers that. Praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
