The Ruling on Two Hadiths Regarding the Virtue of Abu Bakr

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We return to the message from our brother Mahmoud Ahmad al-Dawsa from Iraq, Baghdad, al-Zafaraniyyah. Our brother asks a question that is actually stirring, Shaykh Abdul Aziz. He says: It is mentioned in a hadith:
If the faith of Abu Bakr were weighed against the faith of the Ummah, his would outweigh it.أن إيمان أبي بكر لو وزن بإيمان الأمة لرجح به
And in another hadith: "The sun has never risen or set upon anyone better than Abu Bakr, except a Prophet." Are these two hadiths authentic?

Answer:
As for the first, it is authentic. As for the second, I do not know it at the moment. The truth is that its meaning is correct, even if its chain of narration were not authentic. Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) is the most perfect of the Ummah and the best of them, and he is the best of people after the Prophets. Many hadiths indicate that he is the best of creation after the Prophets (peace be upon them) and the most pleasing to them. He is the one about whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
for Allah has taken me as His friend, as he took Ibrahim as His friend. Had I taken any one of my Ummah as a friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a friend.إن الله قد اتخذني خليلًا كما اتخذ إبراهيم خليلًا، ولو كنت متخذًا من أمتي خليلًا لاتخذت أبا بكر خليلًا، ولكن أخوة الإسلام
Sahih Muslim 532
.
So the conclusion is: Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) is the best of creation in faith, truthfulness, virtue, zeal, and spending in the cause of Allah, after the Prophets (peace be upon them). Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
