These things that came in the aforementioned hadith, which is from the hadith of 'Awf ibn Malik—with the letter fa—'Awf ibn Malik al-Ash'ari, these are among the signs of prophethood and among the proofs of the truth of his message, peace and blessings be upon him.

And the illness occurred, which is the two deaths that took people, and it was the plague that spread among people, causing great death.
And the fitnah (trial): many trials occurred, especially the trial that occurred between 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), for its evil spread due to the killing of 'Uthman, and its harm spread into the homes of the Arabs and the homes of the Muslims. So it was a great trial that befell the Muslims, and the Muslims split into two groups in it. Then Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, extinguished it after the killing of 'Ali, and after al-Hasan ibn 'Ali relinquished the leadership and left it to Mu'awiyah. The people agreed upon Mu'awiyah and pledged allegiance to him in the year forty-one of the Hijrah, and that year came to be called the Year of Unity. And praise be to Allah in all circumstances.
As for what concerns the abundance of wealth, wealth has abounded greatly, and it will abound in the end times. And the closest, and Allah knows best, is that it will abound in the end times; because many other hadiths have come indicating that in the end times it will abound until no one accepts it. And this will be in the time of 'Isa (Jesus), peace and blessings be upon him; for when the time of 'Isa comes, wealth will abound among people, and the jizyah (tax) will be abolished and not accepted, and the Muslims will be on one religion, and worship will be for Allah alone. There, wealth will abound. And it may abound in times before that, as in the authentic hadith also:. All of this is established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. And it may occur in some regions and countries and not in other regions and countries, but it will occur in the end times as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, informed, in the time of 'Isa, and it may occur in other times before the time of 'Isa, peace and blessings be upon him.
