Permissibility of leaving the nearby mosque and praying in the distant one

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
There are two mosques in our area, one is close to us and the other is far, but we usually head to the far one; this is because its preacher is skilled at delivering the sermon without using a paper, in addition to his eloquence.
As for the mosque close to us, its preacher uses a paper in his sermon, which has led most people to head to that far mosque and leave this one. Is this permissible?
Guide us to what is good and right, may Allah bless you.

Answer:
The believer seeks what is most beneficial for him and what has the greatest impact on his heart. If praying with the distant mosque has a greater impact on the heart and is more beneficial due to the good style of his address, his care for the sermon, and his attention to it, then that is preferable, whether he preaches from a paper or from memory.
There is no fault in the preacher using a paper; because it may be more accurate for his sermon and more stable for him. If he preaches from a paper, but he delivers the sermon well and masters it, and cares about what he writes on the paper, that is good, and there is no blame on him and no fault in this. Some people who preach without a paper may make many mistakes, and may repeat words without benefit.
So you, my brother, must use what is best for your heart and what is most beneficial for you. The distant mosque has the added benefit of the steps taken, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The greatest of people in reward for prayer is the one who is farthest in walking to itأعظم الناس في الصلاة أجرًا أبعدهم فأبعدهم ممشى
.
And if his sermon is more beneficial for your heart and has a stronger impact on it, there is no harm in going to it. As for whether it is from a paper or not, this should not have an effect. Preaching from a paper and not from a paper is all permissible, and praise be to Allah. The preacher should look at what is best; if his sermon from a paper is more beneficial, better, and more stable for his heart, and helps him with good delivery, let him preach from a paper. And if his sermon from memory is more beneficial, better, and has a stronger impact on people, let him do that. He knows himself best and knows what he is capable of. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. So: it must not affect the people, Shaykh Abdul Aziz?

The Shaykh: Yes, this is not appropriate, it should not have an effect. Rather, the believer should seek what is best in listening to the sermon and in going to the mosque in which he prays. And the preacher should also seek what is best; if it is best for him to preach from memory, let him do so, and if it is best for him to preach from a paper, let him do so.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
