Affirming the Punishment and Bliss of the Grave

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
They have a question regarding the punishment and bliss of the grave, Your Eminence: Their question, to the extent they were able to write it, goes as follows:
When the deceased is buried, does his soul return to him in the grave? And if so, until when does the deceased remain in the punishment?
Or does his soul ascend to the highest heaven? Does it remain there, or does the punishment continue until the Day of Reckoning? Please inform us; because those who died a long time ago, centuries past, do they remain in the punishment, or do they wait until the Day of Reckoning?
We want you to clarify this matter for us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The grave is either a garden from the gardens of Paradise, or a pit from the pits of the Fire, as the hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) state. The believer enjoys bliss in his grave; the believer is in bliss in his grave, and his soul is in bliss in Paradise. It is transferred to Paradise. The souls of the believers are in Paradise in the form of birds that enter Paradise and eat from its fruits. These souls are in the form of birds that enter Paradise and eat from its fruits.
And Allah returns it to the body when He wills at the time of questioning, and at other times that Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) wills.
And he is in bliss forever, and he is in bliss, and his body, as long as it remains, is in bliss. He receives his share of bliss, as Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) wills. And the disbeliever is in punishment; his soul is in punishment, and his body receives its share of punishment.
As for the duration and how the punishment is inflicted, that is for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and we do not know it. Allah knows it best.
But we know that the believer is in bliss, and his soul is in bliss, and the disbeliever is in punishment. As for the details of that regarding the punishment, nothing has been conveyed to us indicating details other than that they are in punishment, his soul is in punishment, and his body receives its share of punishment. We ask Allah for safety.
As for the sinner, he is under the will of Allah. He may be punished in his grave, he may be tormented, or he may be forgiven. He may be tormented at one time and not at another. So his matter is for Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed
That he passed by two graves, and they were being tormented. One of them was being tormented for talebearing, and the other was being tormented for not cleaning himself from urine.أنه مر على قبرين، فإذا هما يعذبان، أحدهما يعذب بالنميمة، والثاني يعذب لعدم تنزهه من البول
.
So the sinner is in danger if he dies upon sins and does not repent, and he is threatened with punishment. But he may be forgiven due to many good deeds, or due to other reasons. And if he is tormented, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) knows best the manner of the punishment and its continuation or cessation. This is for Allah , He is the One who knows everything (Exalted and Majestic is He). Yes.
