Is it permissible to pray voluntary prayers after the witr?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister asks in another question, saying: Is it permissible to pray voluntary prayers between the 'Isha' prayer and the witr, and the Fajr prayer? Because I hear some people say: It is not permissible to pray after the witr until Fajr, and some say: Sleep separates between them.
And one of the shaykhs in our country said: It is possible to pray before Fajr, between the first and second adhan for Fajr, and some say: It is not permissible. And I usually wake up before Fajr, and I want to pray, but I do not know if it is permissible or not?

Answer:
Yes, there is nothing wrong with praying after the witr. If a person prays the witr at the beginning of the night, or in the middle of the night, and then Allah makes it easy for him to stand in prayer at the end of the night, it is prescribed for him to pray what Allah has allotted for him, two rak'ahs or more than that. The first witr is sufficient for him; there is no need for a second witr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There are no two Witr in one night.لا وتران في ليلة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 470Sahih (Darussalam)
So if the believer, male or female, wakes up at the end of the night and has already prayed the witr at the beginning of the night, it is prescribed for him to pray what Allah has written for him, and he does not repeat the first witr.
So if he prays two rak'ahs, or four, or more, all of this is good and there is nothing wrong with it, but it should be in pairs; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The night prayer is (to be offered) two by two.صلاة الليل مثنى مثنى
Sunan Ibn Majah 1319Sahih (Darussalam)
meaning: two by two. And it is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him)
That he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed two rak'ahs after he had prayed the witr at the end of the nightأنه صلى ركعتين بعدما أوتر في آخر الليل
to let people know that prayer after the witr is permissible. However, the better option is for the witr to be the last thing, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Make Witr the end of your night prayer.اجعلوا آخر صلاتكم بالليل وترًا
Sahih Muslim 751b
So the better option is for the witr to be the last thing. But if there is room and he prays two rak'ahs or more after the witr, there is no blame on him, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
