Is it permissible to hang verses in the houses or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from our brother, the listener Hayaf Nasser al-Hayaf al-Tamimi. We presented part of his questions in previous episodes, and in this episode he asks and says: Is it permissible to hang verses in the houses or is it not permissible, or is that a religious innovation?
Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
There is no harm in hanging verses and hadiths in offices, gathering places, and the like for the sake of benefit and reminder.
As for hanging them on a person, such as a sick person or a child as an amulet to protect him from jinn or the like, this is not permissible. For this reason, it is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Whoever hangs a tamimah, Allah will not complete for him, and whoever hangs a wada'ah, Allah will not grant him peace.من تعلق تميمة فلا أتم الله له، ومن تعلق ودعة فلا ودع الله له
And in another narration:
Whoever hangs up an amulet has committed shirk.من تعلق تميمة فقد أشرك
.
Amulets are those that are hung on children or on the sick, either with the intention of the one hanging them to protect them from jinn, or from the evil eye. This is not permissible. As for hanging verses or hadiths in offices and the like with the intention of benefit and reminder, there is nothing wrong with that. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
