Is it permissible to hang Qur'anic verses in homes and mosques?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from the brothers: Tahir Ibrahim Tahir and Salim Ma'ruf from the Jizan region. The two brothers have a set of questions. In the first question: Is it permissible to hang verses from the Noble Qur'an in homes and in mosques? And is it permissible to write verses on the walls? We ask you to kindly provide guidance on this matter. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
Writing verses and hanging them on the walls for the sake of remembrance and benefit, or authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), is not a problem according to the most correct opinion of the scholars, provided the walls are in a clean place such as offices and sitting rooms. However, in other places such as bathrooms, this is not permissible. Likewise, writing on the walls for the sake of remembrance and benefit in a clean place such as a sitting room or an office, or the like, is not a problem according to the correct view.
However, if the writing is in a place that is desecrated and disrespected, it is not permissible. Or if the writing is done with the belief that it repels jinn, or that it is a protection from jinn, or something similar to this, it is not permissible. But if it is written on papers and hung, or on walls, hung for the sake of benefit and remembrance of these great verses and authentic hadiths that command good and call to it, and the intention is remembrance, then there is no harm in that.
As for in the mosques, no, they are not hung in the mosques; because they distract the worshippers. So nothing is written on their walls, and nothing is hung on papers... The prescribed state for mosques is that they be free from writings and hangings, so that the worshipper is not distracted by anything other than his prayer. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
