The ruling on obeying one's parents when they order one to provide financial support for one's siblings

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From Qatif in the Eastern Province, this is a message that reached the program from listener (M. R. D). Our brother began his message by saying:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I am an Egyptian teacher working in the Eastern Province, and I am indebted to your eternal program: Light on the Path. As we thank you and direct our supplications to those in charge of it, and to those behind the program and our noble scholars, may Allah make you and them a store of good for us in our religion and our worldly affairs.
The first question is: I reside in the Kingdom with my family, consisting of my wife and two sons. As for my father, who lives in Egypt, he is advanced in age, but he still works in trade in his small shop, striving to support my brother who finished his studies this year and joined the military service, and my two sisters. However, my parents condition their satisfaction with me on my financial help for my brother, my bearing the cost of his marriage, and even before that, my sisters. For this reason, they cut off contact with me and considered me undutiful to them, despite the fact that I am suffering from a chronic illness. How I fear the unknown regarding the fate of my children, and I fear what I fear most. What keeps me awake is the displeasure of my parents toward me.
So I ask Your Eminence to guide me on how to deal with what the parents are asking of me?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for you to fear Allah as much as you are able. If you are able to maintain ties with your parents and please them, do so with what Allah has made easy for you, after meeting the needs of yourself, your children, and your wife. If it does not become easy for you, then you are excused, so apologize to them for that. The financial support for you and your children takes precedence. So you must look into the matter, strive, and be eager to please your parents with the money Allah has made available to you, until they are pleased with you, and until you help your brother while you are in a great state of good. Even if you reduce the spending on yourself and your family somewhat, in a way that does not harm everyone, in order to please your parents, this is a required matter. So strive to be economical and be careful to save something with which to please your parents. May Allah reward you with good.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He benefit us with your knowledge.
