What advice is given to one who was undutiful to his father when he was young?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I was ten years old when my father stood up to hit me over something, and he fell to the ground. I invoked a curse upon him and said, "May Allah cause you to stumble." He then drove me away and hit me. I am now thirty years old, and my father has passed away. Perhaps he is in a difficult state and is asking?

Answer:
You must repent to Allah. If you were in a state of childhood before reaching the age of accountability, there is no blame on you, if Allah wills. However, you should increase your supplication, seeking forgiveness, and asking for mercy for him. You should say, "O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, have mercy on him. O Allah, reward him for me with good." Praise be to Allah. At that time, you had no blame regarding the age of accountability, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The Pen has been lifted from three : from the sleeping person until he awakens, from the minor until he grows up, and from the insane person until he comes to his senses.رُفِعَ القلمُ عن ثلاثةٍ: عن النائم حتى يستيقظ، وعن الصغير حتى يبلغ، وعن المجنون حتى يفيق
Sunan Ibn Majah 2041Hasan (Darussalam)
. You were not accountable at that time. We ask Allah to pardon you, but you should supplicate for him frequently.
