Then he went and performed wudu and returned to complete the tawaf without restarting it, thinking that this action was valid. What is his obligation now? May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Regarding the tawaf in which he became ritually impure and then went to perform wudu: if we say that ritual purity is a condition for tawaf, then his tawaf in which the state of impurity occurred is invalid, and building the end of it upon the beginning is not valid. Consequently, he is now considered to have not performed the tawaf of ifadah. However, if we say that wudu is not a condition for tawaf, then we look at whether he sought water and performed wudu. If so, his tawaf is also not valid because continuity is a condition for tawaf. But if he found water nearby, then performed wudu and returned quickly, his tawaf is valid.
