What is the ruling on entering restaurants where intoxicants are served?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling in Islamic law for one who enters and eats in a restaurant where intoxicants are sold and served, knowing that he will eat in another place within a few hours, especially if he is a student of religious knowledge or a teacher of religious knowledge?

Answer:
It is obligatory for the believer to be cautious regarding his religion. If intoxicants are sold and served in the restaurant, or pork, or other things forbidden by Allah, he must avoid it and be careful, unless he is compelled to do so. In that case, he should be cautious: he should request the appropriate place, and request the appropriate food and drink that Allah has made permissible for him, in clean, sound utensils when there is dire necessity. Otherwise, he should seek out sound restaurants so that he is cautious regarding his religion and avoids sitting with the people of evil.
However, dire necessities have their own rulings. If one is compelled, he should be cautious and request something clearly permissible. If their utensils contain intoxicants or pork, he should request something clear in a sound, clean, washed utensil that contains nothing of their bad practices. That is, he should be cautious regarding his religion in everything, and not eat in this shared restaurant except in cases of dire necessity, while being careful to protect himself from its evil.
