What is the ruling on renting houses to disbelievers?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The question is about renting houses or apartments to disbelieving families or to companies where disbelievers work?

Answer:
One should be cautious of this; because this Peninsula is not for disbelievers, so it is not permissible to keep them in it, nor to be lenient in this matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
Two religions will not coexist in this Peninsulaلا يجتمع في هذه الجزيرة دينان
, and he instructed at his death to expel the Jews and the Christians from this Peninsula. So the Peninsula is the cradle of Islam, the place of its spread, and the place of its manifestation. Therefore, disbelievers should not be settled in it except in a temporary capacity for a temporary need: such as a messenger, or a doctor when needed if called for by the one in authority. Otherwise, the leniency of people toward these workers, the disbelievers and others, in housing them, renting to them, and facilitating their affairs, entails a great danger and a great evil; this encourages them to come and reside. So one must be cautious of these matters, and one should be far from anything that encourages the enemies of Allah in this Peninsula.
