I have houses for rent, and I only rent them to workers, but they do not pray and they commit some wrongs. Is it permissible to rent to them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Your Eminence, I have houses for rent, and I previously rented them to workers for a year. These workers do not pray, and you can see some wrongs in them. After the contract ended, I evicted them from the houses. Now the houses are empty, and I need to rent them out, but we have no one else to rent to except workers, because they are old houses and are not rented to families.

The Shaykh : Yes, there is nothing wrong with renting to them. Advise them against the sins you see them committing and against abandoning the congregational prayer.

The questioner : As for the money, there is nothing wrong with the value of the rent.

The Shaykh : If we say there is nothing wrong with the rental, then there is nothing wrong with the rent.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, perhaps we could say: if not renting to them serves as a deterrent from their sins and encourages them to pray in congregation, then it might be said that we should prevent them. But I do not think this would be of any benefit to them.
