Advice for one who invoked a calamity upon herself and then fell ill

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence, one of them was forced into marriage and married a specific man. She then invoked a calamity upon herself. It so happened that the marital life continued for a certain period, and that woman was afflicted with a chronic illness that confined her to her bed for ten years. She is still thinking about that matter to this day, especially since she is bedridden and ill. What is your advice for her?

Answer:
We advise her to repent to Allah and seek forgiveness for her invocation against herself; because it is not permissible for a Muslim to invoke a calamity upon himself. A man should not invoke a calamity upon himself, nor should a woman invoke a calamity upon herself, whether by death, blindness, illness, or similar things that harm her. A believer does not invoke a calamity upon himself, and a believing woman likewise does not invoke a calamity upon herself. If it so happens that she is afflicted with something she invoked, or with other calamities, she must repent and seek forgiveness. Praise be to Allah, the door of repentance is open for everything. Praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
