Ruling on delaying the prayer from the beginning of its time due to being occupied with listening to the sermon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message came from Ta'if from one of the listening sisters, Umm Ali. Umm Ali has two questions. In her first question, she says: If the prayer time enters while she is listening to a sermon or listening to the Qur'an, does she delay the prayer until the end of the sermon or the Qur'an? Or does she pray as soon as the time enters? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in postponing the prayer until she hears the benefit—the sermon and the exhortation. There is no harm in that, but on the condition that the time does not pass. As for delaying it from the beginning of the time by half an hour or a third of an hour, there is no harm in that; the matter is broad. However, praying at the beginning of the time is better. And if she delays it for a great benefit, such as listening to an exhortation, or teaching an ignorant person, or enjoining good, or forbidding evil, or something similar that calls for delaying it for a short time, there is no harm in that; because this is a great benefit, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
