The Recreations of the Servants on the Day of Resurrection, Body and Soul
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener named 'Aziz Zaghloul Muhammad Khalil sent a somewhat lengthy message asking: Will a person be created after death as he was in this world? Or will only the soul be created? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
Allah the Exalted says: [Al-Anbiya: 104] And Allah will return them as He began them, in their original state. He will return them as He began them, in their original state, body and soul, and He will reward them for their deeds, both good and evil, as the Exalted said: [Al-Najm: 31].
So Allah will return them as He began them, and He will reward them for their deeds, both good and evil. However, the disbeliever will be enlarged when he enters the Fire until his molar is like a mountain, like Mount Uhud.
And the believers, when they enter Paradise, will be of the height of their father Adam, sixty cubits. They will not be in their state as they were in this world; rather, their bodies will be sixty cubits tall in the sky. It is mentioned in some hadiths that the width is seven cubits.
The point is that He will return them as He began them, (Exalted and Majestic is He), with their bodies and their souls, and they will be rewarded for their deeds. However, their bodies will differ; the disbelievers will be enlarged in the Fire, may Allah protect us from it.
And the Muslims will have bodies as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us, of the height of their father Adam, sixty cubits in the sky. As for the width, it was mentioned in a hadith whose chain has some weakness and softness But the hadith regarding the width has some weakness; because in its chain is 'Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jad'an, and he is considered weak in hadith. As for the height, it is established in the two Sahihs; their height is the height of their father Adam, sixty cubits. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh: Allah is the Helper.

Answer:
Allah the Exalted says:
As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.
كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَAnd to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] -
So Allah will return them as He began them, and He will reward them for their deeds, both good and evil. However, the disbeliever will be enlarged when he enters the Fire until his molar is like a mountain, like Mount Uhud.
