Issue: Did he ascend with his soul only, or with his soul and body together?

The Shaykh : Third: Did he ascend with his soul, or did he ascend with his body and soul? He ascended with his body and soul, because Allah the Exalted said: and He did not say "with the soul of His servant." Also, because the Quraysh denied the Mi'raj and the Night Journey; if it had been with the soul, they would not have denied it, because no one denies a dream. Therefore, the correct view is that he was taken by night with his body and soul.
