The ruling on repeating a surah in several rak'ahs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says, O Shaykh: If the imam recites Surat al-Fatihah in the first rak'ah, then recites the same surah in the second rak'ah, and one of the praying people says, "Subhan Allah," what must the imam do? And does he prostrate for forgetfulness?

Answer:
No, he does not prostrate. If he repeats it, there is no harm. Praise be to Allah. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated a surah in two rak'ahs. There is no harm if he recites it in the first and second rak'ahs. Even if he did so out of forgetfulness, he does not owe the prostration for forgetfulness, because this is a prescribed matter.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh!
