The ruling on one who comes to Jeddah to conduct business and then enters the state of ihram for 'Umrah from there

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: I traveled from Abha to Jeddah to handle some business, and I intended to perform 'Umrah after finishing the business. Then I entered the state of ihram from Jeddah and performed the 'Umrah. Is my 'Umrah valid?

Answer:
If you intended the 'Umrah from the beginning, meaning you were going to perform the 'Umrah, then it is obligatory for you to enter the state of ihram from the miqat when you pass it, or to return to it after fulfilling your need in Jeddah. You return to the miqat and enter the state of ihram from there.
As for if you did not intend anything until you reached Jeddah, and you resolved to perform 'Umrah after arriving in Jeddah, with a new intention, then there is nothing wrong with entering the state of ihram from Jeddah after you are done with your business.
As for if you intended the 'Umrah from the start when you passed the miqat, then it is obligatory to return to the miqat when you finish your need, before you go to perform the 'Umrah. You go to the miqat and enter the state of ihram from there for the 'Umrah. If you entered the state of ihram from Jeddah and did not go to the miqat, then you owe a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered in Makkah for the poor; because you intended the 'Umrah and entered the state of ihram from other than its miqat, having passed its miqat. But if you only resolved to perform the 'Umrah after finishing the work in Jeddah, and did not intend the 'Umrah before that, then there is nothing wrong. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
