Is Allah's pleasure with the one for whom intercession is sought obligatory?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is Allah's pleasure with the one for whom intercession is sought not a condition of intercession?

Answer:
Yes.
Q: So, the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for his uncle and Allah's acceptance of that?
A: This is a specific intercession. He interceded for him, but it was not accepted from him. So Allah the Exalted revealed:
It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relativesمَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَى
[Surah al-Tawbah: 113], and that was before he knew. When he knew that, he left off the intercession. When he interceded, he said:
I will keep on asking for Allah's forgiveness for you unless I am forbidden to do so.لأستغفرنَّ لك ما لم أُنْهَ عنك
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2035Sahih (Darussalam)
, as it is in al-Bukhari. When he was forbidden from it, he stopped doing it.
Q: The father of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A: The father and mother of the Prophet were in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance. They died in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance. And in the hadith:
Verily my father and your father are in the Fire.إنَّ أبي وأباك في النار
Sahih Muslim 203
, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked his Lord to seek forgiveness for his mother, but he was not permitted to do so; because she died in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance upon the religion of her people: the worship of idols.
Q: Were they not from the people of the period of ignorance?
A: The apparent meaning of the hadith is that she was from the people of disbelief; because he sought permission to seek forgiveness for her, but he was not permitted. It is possible that she was from the people of the period of ignorance, but it came in some narrations that she was from the people of the Fire, such as the hadith
Verily my father and your father are in the Fire.إن أبي وأباك في النار
Sahih Muslim 203
, narrated by Muslim in the Sahih.
Q: Was the proof established against them?
A: Perhaps something from the religion of Ibrahim reached them that established the proof against them.
