Explanation of the author's statement: He (peace and blessings be upon him) has three intercessions on the Day of Resurrection: As for the first intercession, he intercedes for the people of the standing place until judgment is passed between them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And he has three intercessions on the Day of Resurrection". Yes. "He" the pronoun refers to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). "Three intercessions on the Day of Resurrection".
And intercessions is the plural of intercession. Intercession in the Arabic language means making something a pair. So if you add one to a single one, it becomes a pair, and if you add one to three, it becomes a pair, and so on. Making the odd number a pair is this intercession.
But in technical terminology, it means mediating for another to bring a benefit or remove a harm. This intercession is that you mediate for someone else to bring a benefit or remove a harm, and its connection to the derivation is apparent, because when you mediate for him, you become a pair with him, interceding for him.
And intercession is divided into two categories: invalid intercession and valid intercession.
So invalid intercession is what the polytheists associate with their idols. This is invalid intercession that does not benefit. They say:
We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position
[Az-Zumar 39:3]
and they take them as intercessors. But this intercession does not benefit; it is invalid intercession and does not benefit them.
Valid intercession has three conditions:
The first condition: Allah's pleasure with the intercessor.
And the second condition: His pleasure with the one for whom intercession is sought.
And the third condition: His permission for the intercession, and permission does not occur except after pleasure with the intercessor and the one for whom intercession is sought.
The evidence for this is His saying, the Exalted:
And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.
[An-Najm 53:26]
. This verse gathers the three conditions.
except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.
[An-Najm 53:26]
. And He did not say: with the intercessor, nor: the one for whom intercession is sought, to be more comprehensive, meaning: He is pleased with the intercessor and the one for whom intercession is sought.
And He said, the Exalted:
and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves
[Al-Anbya 21:28]
.
And Allah the Exalted said:
That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word.
[Taha 20:109]
.
So in the last two verses, there is the affirmation of pleasure with the intercessor and the one for whom intercession is sought, each individually.
And in Surat al-Najm, the three conditions are mentioned.
Now, permission is necessary.
And Allah's pleasure with the intercessor and the one for whom intercession is sought is necessary, and permission cannot occur except after? Except after pleasure, as you heard in the noble verses.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has three intercessions on the Day of Resurrection: the great intercession, the intercession for the people of Paradise to enter Paradise, and the intercession for those who have earned the Fire so that they do not enter it, and for those who have entered it so that they are brought out of it.
The first intercession, he says: "he intercedes for the people of the standing place until judgment is passed between them": "he intercedes until" until is explanatory, not purposive, because the intercession of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) ends before judgment is passed between the people. For when he intercedes, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, descends to judge between His servants and He judges between them. So this, I mean until, is not? It is for explanation.
Its parallel is His saying, the Exalted:
They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband."
[Al-Munafiqun 63:7]
. So His saying:
until they disperse حتى ينفضوا
is for explanation and not for the purpose, or not? Meaning, do not spend on them for the sake of their dispersing from him. When they needed spending and did not find spending, they dispersed from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Now, "until judgment is passed between them".
