The Difference Between the Duff and the Tanbur

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the difference between the duff and the tanbur?

Answer:
The tanbur is well known, but some of the scholars of knowledge said: it is the drum. In any case, the duff is permissible, and anything other than it is not permissible. The duff for women is the permissible one. The duff is a type made of leather, having one face, with no bells and no metal that women strike.
As for the tanbur, there is a hadith regarding the prohibition of it, and likewise the drum, and likewise all other forms of amusement; they are all forbidden.
