What are the matters that must be learned and acted upon?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What are the matters that must be learned and acted upon?

The Shaykh : A person must learn everything he needs in his religion, without limitation. A person must learn how to perform wudu', how to pray, how to fast, how to perform Hajj, and how to pay zakah if he has wealth. Whatever a person needs to know in the religion, it is obligatory for him to learn it. This is the rule, and it is clear.
As for what he does not need, seeking knowledge is a collective obligation. If a person engages in it, he has fulfilled the collective obligation. If he relies on others among the scholars, his conscience is clear.

The questioner : May Allah reward you and bless you. This questioner says, O honorable Shaykh.
