Is it permissible to undergo cosmetic surgery for someone with deformities?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The last message in this session came from the young man (A. A. M.) from Bahrain. He says, “Your brother in Allah: I am a young man of eighteen years old, about to get married. There is a mark on my face that makes me shy in front of people and causes me distress. Is it permissible for me to have surgery on my face that makes me deformed in the eyes of people?”
Answer: If there is a mark on the face from smallpox or other diseases that deform it, there is no harm. If the doctors have a means to remove this mark and the deformity, there is no harm. When the nose of some people was cut off in wars, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised them to make a nose of silver. When it became foul-smelling, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to make a nose of gold, and he granted a dispensation for that; because a person’s face without a nose is deformed. So from the mercy of Allah is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted him to do that. If there are pits on his face from smallpox or otherwise, or if medicine found by doctors alleviates this thing, or if there is a black spot on his face or things that deform the face, and a treatment is found that removes these deforming things, there is no harm in that and no blame. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
