Answer: The Sunnah is to place the man in front of the imam, then the male child, then the woman. The woman is placed toward the direction of the qiblah, and her middle is aligned with the head of the man, so that the imam’s position relative to all of them conforms to the Sunnah. The man is placed near the imam, then the male child follows him, then the woman follows. This is the Sunnah.
