The ruling on a woman dyeing her hair to adorn herself for her husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We move on to a letter received by the program signed (A. A. A) from Buraydah. This letter contained a set of questions, summarized as follows: A woman dyes her hair for her husband; what is your opinion?
Answer: If the dye is henna, saffron, or something similar, there is nothing wrong with it. However, dyeing white hair black is not permissible, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) condemned it and did not make a distinction; he did not say, "This is for women or for men," but rather he generalized it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Change this gray hair and avoid black.غيروا هذا الشيب واجتنبوا السواد
And he said:
In the last of time, there will come people who dye their hair black like the crops of pigeons, and they will not smell the fragrance of Paradiseيأتي في آخر الزمان قومم يخضبون بالسواد كحواصل الحمام لا يريحون رائحة الجنة
It was narrated by Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and al-Nasa'i with a sound chain. The first one was narrated by Muslim in the Sahih in the story of the father of al-Tayyib when he was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Conquest, and his head and beard were as white as a pigeon's crop. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Change this white hair and avoid black.غيروا هذا الشيب وجنبوه السواد
And in another wording:
and avoid blackواجتنبوا السواد
This includes both men and women. So if a woman has white hair, she should change it with something other than black. Yes.
The presenter: I have heard from some of them that there is black henna, O Shaykh?
The Shaykh: The dye must not be black. Henna that makes the dye red or between red and black is fine, but if there is something that makes it black, then no; because that is what is prohibited.
The presenter: Even if it is called henna?
The Shaykh: Even if it is called henna. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
