Ruling on wearing jewelry or clothing bearing the name of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A message reached the program from the brothers Hamad and Khadija in the Algerian Republic. In their first question, they say: I have a gold chain—and perhaps the questioner is the daughter, I have a gold chain—on which the name of Allah is written. Is it permissible for me to use it, or is that forbidden?
Answer: This gold chain that contains the name of Allah or a verse from the Qur'an should be left; because it may be taken into the restroom. Leaving it is preferable. It may also be placed in a place that is disrespected. So it is better for you to change this chain by removing from it what it contains of the names of Allah, so that they are not disrespected. For the names of Allah are great, and the chain may be placed with some belongings, thrown in a room, or thrown in a box without regard. It may be touched by something inappropriate. So the result is: leaving it is preferable and safer, out of reverence for the names of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So scratch it off or recast it in a new form that does not contain the mention of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). This is the preferable and safer course, as a precaution for the names of Allah and to protect them from being disrespected.
Likewise, clothing that contains the names of Allah or verses is not permissible to wear; because it is a means for it to be disrespected or for it to be affected by impurity from menstruation or otherwise. Or it may be thrown down and people may step on it or sit on it. For this reason, wearing it is forbidden, and making it into cushions or mats is forbidden; because this leads to its being disrespected by sitting on it, stepping on it, and the like. Yes.
