The ruling on a woman going out to offer condolences with women by car
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We return at the beginning of this episode to a letter from one of our brothers from Sudan, who says: Your brother from the people of the Sunnah and the community, our brother. In a previous episode, we presented one of his questions, which was one of eight included in his letter. In this episode, we hope to be able to present some of the questions. He says in this episode: Is it in the Sunnah for my wife to go to offer condolences within the village and outside it in the neighboring villages by car with women?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for the answer: There is no harm in your wife, O questioner, going to offer condolences to her brothers and relatives in the village; there is nothing wrong with that with women, unless the place is far away and is considered a journey, in which case a mahram is required. However, if it is the village and what is considered an extension of the village, there is nothing wrong with it even if she does not have a mahram with her; the women with her are sufficient. Offering condolences is recommended for men and women to their relatives, their neighbors, and their loved ones, because a calamity has an effect on the hearts, so offering condolences is prescribed. Yes.
