The third question of Fatwa No. ( 17618 )
Q 3: Women going to the deceased's family to offer condolences , on the condition that they do not stay for a long time. If they stay for a long time, is it disliked or not?
A 3 : If the condolence gathering includes any religious innovations or forbidden matters, such as holding a mourning ceremony, wailing, or pre-Islamic practices, then it is not permissible to attend, neither for men nor for women, except for one who is able to forbid what is wrong. And if it does not
include any of that, then there is nothing wrong with going to console the deceased's family in a manner that conforms to the Sunnah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
