The Grading of the Hadith: (When a person's soul departs from his body...)
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message received by the program from listener (N. M.) from the city of al-Ramadi. He says in his message, and at its beginning:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. I hope you will answer my following questions:
First question: From Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan al-Bayhaqi 5:507 It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi. What is ghalul (taking from the spoils of war before distribution), and is this hadith authentic or is its chain weak? Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: I have not come across the chain of narration for this hadith, and I will review it, if Allah wills, and we will discuss it in another session. As for ghalul: it is taking from the war spoils before they are distributed, by way of stealth and secrecy. Likewise, taking from trusts, such as a trustee of the public treasury or a trustee of orphans' property or the like, taking from it without right is called ghalul. The warning regarding it is severe. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: : [Al Imran: 161].
So ghalul is among the forbidden things and among the major sins; one must beware of it.
As for debt, its matter is serious. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked by some of the mujahideen (those striving in the path of Allah):.
This indicates that debt is not waived, even if the doer of the deed enters Paradise. The martyrs are promised Paradise and honor, and likewise every believer who dies upon faith and guidance is promised Paradise and honor, as Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said in Surat al-Tawbah: [Al Tawbah: 72]. So every believer and every pious person is promised Paradise, but this promise does not waive the debt. The debt owed to people remains with them, and they must be compensated for it. If a believer takes a debt with the intention of repaying it, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) will repay it on his behalf, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bulugh al-Maram 7:94 It was narrated by al-Bukhari in the Sahih.
So, O servant of Allah! When you take a debt as a loan or as the price of a sale or the like, and you intend to repay it and strive to repay it, Allah will repay it on your behalf. If you die and have not repaid it, without any negligence on your part, and you had intended to repay it and striven to do so, then Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) will repay it on your behalf. He is the Truth, and it is not lost. Rather, the creditor is given his right, and Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is pleased with you, if you intended to repay it but were unable to do so.
As for arrogance, its matter is serious and its evil is great. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 18:1276.
So arrogance is among the major sins. And Allah says regarding the Fire: "So evil is the abode of the arrogant" [Az-Zumar: 72]. So the Fire is prepared by Allah for those who are arrogant in obedience to Allah and in His religion.
So the advice for every believer and every believing woman is to beware of arrogance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was asked, a man said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! A man loves his garment to be good and his sandal to be good; is this from arrogance?" He said: "No, for Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance is rejecting the truth and belittling people." This is the arrogance that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) defined: (Arrogance is rejecting the truth) meaning: rejecting the truth and pushing it away when it contradicts one's desire, (and belittling people) meaning: looking down on people.
So the arrogant person is the one who rejects the truth when it contradicts his desire, and belittles people and looks down on them, and does not care about them. This is the arrogant person, and he is promised the Fire. We seek refuge in Allah from that.
So it is obligatory to beware, and the believer should be humble before Allah, and the believing woman should be humble before Allah, and each of them should beware of arrogance, which is rejecting the truth and belittling people. We ask Allah for safety. Yes.

First question: From Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When a person's soul departs from his body and he is free from three things, he will enter Paradise: ghalul (taking from the spoils of war before distribution), debt, and arrogance.

And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection
وَمَنْ يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِSo ghalul is among the forbidden things and among the major sins; one must beware of it.
As for debt, its matter is serious. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked by some of the mujahideen (those striving in the path of Allah):
He said: "O Messenger of Allah! Do you think that if I am killed, I will enter Paradise?" He said: "Yes, if you are killed while patient, counting on the reward, facing the enemy, and not turning your back. Then he said: What did I say?" He said: "I said: O Messenger of Allah! Do you think that if I am killed in the cause of Allah, I will enter Paradise?" He said: "Yes, if you are killed while patient, counting on the reward, facing the enemy, and not turning your back, you will enter Paradise, except for debt. For Jibril (Gabriel) informed me of this just now."
This indicates that debt is not waived, even if the doer of the deed enters Paradise. The martyrs are promised Paradise and honor, and likewise every believer who dies upon faith and guidance is promised Paradise and honor, as Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said in Surat al-Tawbah:
Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُWhoever accepts other people's wealth intending to pay it back, Allah will pay it back for him. And whoever accepts it intending to waste it, Allah, the Most High, will waste (destroy) him.
من أخذ أموال الناس يريد أداءها أدى الله عنه، ومن أخذها يريد إتلافها أتلفه اللهSo, O servant of Allah! When you take a debt as a loan or as the price of a sale or the like, and you intend to repay it and strive to repay it, Allah will repay it on your behalf.
