Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question in the letter from the listener Ahmad Muhammad Atiya Qasim, from the Arab Republic of Egypt, residing in al-Qassim, al-Fawarah. He says: Hajj is a general Islamic conference. What do Muslims benefit from this gathering? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: There is no doubt that Hajj is a great conference and an important gathering of Muslims from all parts of the earth. They have benefits in this: Among them is their performance of the rituals of Hajj to the Sacred House of Allah, which Allah prescribed for them and made obligatory upon them with the ability to perform it. Their gathering for this act of worship that Allah made obligatory upon them is among the great blessings of Allah. They come from the far corners of the earth, facing this Ancient House to fulfill what Allah has made obligatory upon them, and out of eagerness for the forgiveness of their sins, the removal of their transgressions, and their success in Paradise. As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1349a.
This is a great benefit for the one whose Hajj is accepted. In the other wording, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1521 And the meaning of: is: he did not have intercourse with his wife during the state of ihram, and he did not speak with her in words inappropriate for intercourse, or do what is inappropriate such as kissing or touching during the state of ihram. All of this is rafath.
means: he did not commit any of the sins. Fusuq applies to all sins; all of them are fusuq. If the believer performs Hajj and remains upright in the command of Allah in his Hajj, and avoids rafath and fusuq, then he has performed his Hajj in a manner of righteousness. It is hoped for him the forgiveness of sins, the removal of transgressions, success in Paradise, and safety from the Fire. Yes.
Also among its benefits is: getting to know one another among Muslims, meeting and interacting among Muslims, and advising one another, and cooperating in righteousness and piety. These are among its benefits.
And among its benefits is also: that a person may meet his relative or his friend and benefit from him with advice, or cooperation in righteousness and piety, or worldly cooperation. And among that is what the pilgrims hear of advice, and the circles of knowledge, admonition, and reminder in the mosques, in the Sacred Mosque, and in the sacred sites. Indeed, these things have their great benefit. Yes.
