Ruling on performing voluntary prayer in a place other than the place of the obligatory prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question in the letter of the brother Abdulaziz Hussein Ibrahim, a Sudanese resident of the city of Rabigh, states: I always see the general public, after the obligatory prayer, changing their place of prayer to perform the voluntary prayer. What is the ruling on that? And what is its virtue? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: It is established from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) what indicates that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do that; for the sake of making the places blessed, and for other rulings that Allah knows . So if he changes his place, it is good, if it is facilitated, meaning that he moves from the place of the obligatory prayer to another place where he performs voluntary prayer. This is the action of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as mentioned by Ibn Umar about him (may Allah be pleased with them both). There is no harm in that; rather, it is recommended if it is facilitated. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
