Practical hypocrisy is a ladder to doctrinal hypocrisy

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
O Shaykh, here it says: And whoever is characterized by these traits is a pure hypocrite?

Answer:
This is from the hadith of Abdullah ibn Umar... The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Four traits: whoever possesses them is a pure hypocrite, and whoever possesses one of them has one trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he speaks, he lies; when he is trusted, he betrays; when he quarrels, he acts unjustly; and when he makes a covenant, he breaks it.
Sahih Ibn Hibban 4:130
-We seek refuge in Allah- in the other wording:
Three are the signs of a hypocrite: when he spoke he told a lie, when he made a promise he acted treacherously against it, when he was trusted he betrayed.آية المنافق ثلاث: إذا حدث كذب، وإذا وعد أخلف، وإذا ائتمن خان
Sahih Muslim 59a
We ask Allah for well-being.
These are their characteristics, but it does not necessarily mean that he is a doctrinal hypocrite; however, in most cases, if these traits become entrenched and numerous in him, they will lead him to doctrinal hypocrisy, may Allah protect us.
And if betrayal were major hypocrisy, then who is safe from it today, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah? If it were major hypocrisy, or if breaking a promise, or lying in speech, were major hypocrisy that necessitates disbelief in Allah, then the matter would be very serious, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah.
But hypocrisy, as mentioned earlier, is of two types: apparent practical hypocrisy and hidden doctrinal hypocrisy. If the doctrinal type is present, its owner becomes a disbeliever with major disbelief and will remain in the Fire eternally -may Allah protect us- if he dies upon that.
As for the types of practical disbelief that hypocrites are characterized by: if its owner is a believer in his heart, believing in Allah and the Last Day and affirming the oneness of Allah, but greed may overcome him so that he lies, or betrays a trust, then he is an open sinner, and he possesses one of the traits of the people of hypocrisy, and he is in great danger, may Allah protect us.
