The ruling on drying oneself after wudu' and after the ghusl for janabah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to wipe off the water from wudu', or is it better to leave it? And if the iqamah is called while a person is in a voluntary prayer, what should he do?

Answer:
The matter is broad. If one dries himself, there is no harm; and if he leaves it, there is no harm. As far as we know, nothing authentic has come regarding this, neither regarding drying nor regarding the dislike of drying. The matter is broad.
As for the ghusl for janabah, it was reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that a towel was offered to him; he turned it away and began to shake the water off with his hand. In the ghusl for janabah, this is better for him (peace and blessings be upon him): to shake the water off with his hand. As for wudu', nothing has been established regarding it as far as we know. So if one dries himself, there is no harm; and if he leaves it, there is no harm. The matter is broad.
