The Ruling on Neglecting Prayer on the Pretext of Work

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on one who sleeps through the 'Asr prayer and says, "I am excused because of my work, and because of my staying up late, from the beginning of the night until near dawn"? Then he sleeps through the Fajr prayer and says that he is constantly busy?

Answer:
This is a great error. How can one be excused from prayer? He is not excused in his work, which is the foundation of the world. This is a great error and a lack of faith, or a weakness of faith. We ask Allah for safety.
It is obligatory for the believer to pray with the people. His work, or anything else, must not prevent him from prayer. If he leaves work before prayer, he should pray with the people, on the way, in the mosques he passes by before coming home. He should not go to his home and leave the prayer. This is a great evil, and it resembles the people of hypocrisy. We seek refuge in Allah. We ask Allah for safety.
