The Ruling on Praying the Festival Prayer Beside Shrines and Graves

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In some villages, they pray the two festival prayers near the graves. Is the prayer valid? There are also some erected shrines. Is it valid to demolish and remove them?

Answer:
If the mosques are far from the graves, or if there is a barrier between them, that is not harmful. Graveyards exist everywhere. But if there is a wall between them and the graves, a barrier between them and the graves, that is sufficient—praise be to Allah. If it is feasible to move the place of prayer away from the graves, praise be to Allah. If it is not feasible, they should place a barrier, and the barrier is sufficient.
