The ruling on a woman who gave her daughter medicine and she died as a result

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A woman placed a treatment consisting of pills in the refrigerator in her house, and a little girl got hold of them and ate them, which caused her death at that time. Is there anything required of the woman, even though this incident happened five years ago?

Answer:
The answer—and Allah knows best—if the place where she put the pills was a nearby place within the children's reach, close to them, such that she did not take precautions and did not move them to a high place away from them; then the most apparent view—and Allah knows best—is that she owes the blood money (diyah) and expiation (kaffarah); because she placed them in a place close to the children, and children are like livestock.
As for if it was in a high place, and in a place out of their reach; then the apparent view is that she owes nothing; because a child may play around, look at things, and reach for distant things; so she owes nothing—if Allah wills.
The question: She owes nothing?

Answer: She owes nothing if it was in a place high out of the children's reach, and not around them.

Question: Is there no fasting required of her, meaning?

Answer: No fasting is required of her, nor anything else.
