The ruling on shaking hands with the wife's aunts and maternal aunts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for me to shake hands with my wife's aunts and maternal aunts?

Answer:
You are not permitted to shake hands with her aunts, her maternal aunts, or her sisters either. That is not allowed for you. This is only with the mother, with her mother, or with her daughter after consummation of the marriage. As for her aunts, maternal aunts, and sisters, they are not mahram (relatives one may not marry). You should only greet them with words, such as "How are you?" or "How are you doing?" and "Peace be upon you," and they reply "And upon you, peace," without shaking hands.
