What is the meaning of the hadith: (I saw the pillar of the book pulled out from under my pillow, so I looked, and behold, it was with a bright light directed toward al-Sham)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The hadith:
I saw the pillar of the book pulled out from under my pillow, so I looked, and behold, it was with a bright light directed toward al-Sham
, what is the summary of the meaning of "the pillar of the book"? And will a time come when the Qur'an is not present in existence?

The Shaykh : The Qur'an will not be present.

The questioner : Present, neither in hearts, nor in written pages, nor on tape.

The Shaykh : Your question now has two parts.

The questioner : Two branches, two branches.

The Shaykh : Two branches.

The questioner : It has two branches.

The Shaykh : Regarding the first question, without a doubt, it is an allusion to the spread of knowledge in the land of al-Sham. This is as mentioned in the hadith of al-Bukhari:
A group of people from my Umma will always remain triumphant on the right path and continue to be triumphant (against their opponents). He who deserts them shall not be able to do them any harm. They will remain in this position until Allah's Command is executed
Sahih Muslim 1920
or
Until the Hour is established
. This hadith, when Imam al-Bukhari narrated it in his "Sahih" in the Book of Knowledge, he narrated it with his authentic chain from Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ... Then, after narrating the hadith in its entirety, he said: "And this is what Mu'adh said:
They are in al-Sham
." Therefore, the hadith of the pillar of the book is an allusion to the spread of knowledge in al-Sham, along with the presence of the victorious group in the land of al-Sham until Allah wills. On this occasion, before I move on to answering the second question, I say, as a note of caution, that what is in the narration:
They are in the vicinity of Bayt al-Maqdis
; is a weak hadith. And without a doubt, Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) is part of al-Sham. But the wording of Mu'adh's hadith, when Mu'awiyah said, "This is what Mu'adh said:
They are in al-Sham
," is more general and comprehensive than
They are in the vicinity of Bayt al-Maqdis
. This is an authentic narration, and that is a weak narration.
