Exposing the Misguidance of al-Turabi and His Like

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : My Shaykh ... one question.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : First, allow me, my Shaykh, to comment on the speech you quoted.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : This man and those of his ilk, in reality, their entire speech from beginning to end, as far as we can see, does not go beyond one of three things. Either he is ignorant, or they are ignorant of this religion. In that case, they need to have their ignorance treated by correct understanding and correct education. They should sit and kneel before scholars who can teach them their religion. The second thing is that they may have received their education from people who hate Islam. These people taught them in their institutes and universities how to attack Islam gradually, and how to reach people's hearts to show that they are contemporary, that they have a broad understanding, and that they are capable of bringing something new. This is the method of doubt, which is said to be the method of Descartes. Descartes builds certainty on doubt. There is no doubt that this theory became widespread in Western universities, and they subjected all arts and sciences to this rule or this theory.

The Shaykh : I mean, it is ... my question is, am I present or absent?
The student : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student : The third thing is that they ... the Rafidah, meaning they walk in the orbit of the Rafidah in their hatred of the Companions and the generations of the Salaf al-Salih (may Allah be pleased with them). There is no doubt that the Rafidah have gone deep in attacking the Companions, and they have harmed them, especially those ofThe Shaykh : Abu Bakr and 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and they have expelled them from the religion in a manner far from truth and logic. I do not think, except that these people, with this suspicion I estimate, or with this third matter, have placed their hands in the hands of the Rafidah and clapped with them and greeted them because they attacked the generation of the Companions. And there is, meaning, what strengthens one of these three is that the man or this ideologue says, "Wait, if Allah wills, until you complete your foundation," this is his speech, "and look into the books of the Orientalists."

The Shaykh : Into the books.
The student : Of the Orientalists.

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.
The student : "And you will not find them all harmful, nor will you find the books of the Salaf all empty talk." This phrase, yes, this is his phrase.

The Shaykh : ... empty.
The student : Empty talk. Look at the comparison between the books of the Salaf and the books of the Orientalists.

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.
The student : But he naturally follows his speech with something else, or another speech. He says, "But they, the Orientalists, in the matter of methodology, meaning the matter of scientific research, are better than the Muslims in general and in detail."

The Shaykh : Allah is the Greatest. Allah is sufficient for me.
The student : "As for our scholars, these, as for our scholars, these, they do not have a research methodology. They are very heavy." Yes.

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah.

The questioner : It is possible ... this article or this lecture.
The student : A lecture.

The Shaykh : A tape, a tape, meaning a tape.
The student : Then, my Shaykh, he says, and what he says is most foul, and he certainly says, "I give the opinion of Sayyid Qutb more weight than that of Malik ibn Anas, because he lived with me in my time."

The Shaykh : ... .
The student : Yes, this speech indicates what? If this state that adopted this ideologue as its image relies on such words that he says, then I believe it is a state established on a collapsed foundation ...

The Shaykh: There is no power nor strength except with Allah.
The student : Because this speech, in truth, I do not say it leads its owner to misguidance, but it is close to disbelief.

The Shaykh : Rather, it is disbelief itself.
The student : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : We seek help from Allah in any case. We say, the poem, what does it say? That this is what he did in a poem that suits the topic.
The student : ... These are my fathers, so come to me.

The Shaykh : ... meaning.
The student : O.
Another student : Those are my fathers.
Another student : So bring me the like of them.

The Shaykh : Very beautiful, suitable for the occasion.
The student : Ah, I forgot, I forgot.

The Shaykh : In any case, we ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to support the working scholars with the Book and the Sunnah, and on this correct scientific methodology in the science of hadith and the science of usul al-fiqh. And we do not doubt, of any kind, these, the first or the second or the third, and they may all be combined.
The student : And they have been combined.

The Shaykh : And they may all be combined. So we say that these people, without doubt, have opposed the path of the believers, and that is a far misguidance. It is disbelief itself or close to it. So we ask Allah for safety, and that He protect us from the trials of this time, what has appeared of them and what has remained hidden. And with this amount, it is sufficient, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
The student : May Allah reward our Shaykh for Islam and the Muslims with good, and extend his blessed and good life, and advise him to goodness in all its doors, and make us and him, if Allah wills, among His righteous servants.

The Shaykh : O Allah, amen.
The student : And we ask Allah, who gathered us in this world upon good, to gather us, if Allah wills, in the vast plains of the Hereafter upon abiding pleasure. And as we ask Him (the Exalted) to return all the Muslims in all corners of the earth to their pure religion, so that they establish it in their hearts, in their minds, and in their souls before they establish it on their land with their ignorance, their arrogance, their lack of knowledge, their division, and their disagreement. Indeed, the state of Islam is not established on the earth except if it is established with correct knowledge, the knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah, in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf al-Salih (may Allah be pleased with them), in our minds and hearts, as belief, knowledge, methodology, vision, behavior, action, and strength that relies on the revelation from the sky, to which falsehood does not come from before it or from behind it. Once again, we ask Allah to reward us and the Muslims with good, my ShaykhThe Shaykh : Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, and to honor him in this world and the Hereafter. And may Allah send prayers and blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and peace.

The Shaykh : ... .
