The ruling on establishing zina through photography, and whether it serves as a substitute for witnesses?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
May Allah guide you, O Shaykh. There are many questions being asked, such as: Does the photography of the man and woman committing zina serve as a substitute for the four witnesses?

Answer:
Photography is not permissible. First: Photography is forbidden. Second: Photography is not accepted as evidence, and one does not rule against the person in the image based on it. This is not permissible. Islam is built on covering faults and on averting the fixed punishments as much as one can. It is built on covering faults and on protecting the honor of people.
