The Supplication of Qunut.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Regarding the supplication of qunut: “O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, and grant us well-being among those You have granted well-being, and take charge of us among those You have taken charge of”; did the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicate with these du'as, and what is the ruling on lengthening this qunut?

Answer:
Answer: This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught his grandson al-Hasan: “O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, and grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, and take charge of me among those You have taken charge of, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. You decree, and none can decree against You. He whom You favor is not humiliated, and he whom You oppose is not honored. Blessed are You, our Lord, and Exalted.” This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught al-Hasan ibn 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both). It is recommended, and one may add to it whatever du'as are easy for him.
