The boycott between two brothers.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
There is a financial dispute between me and my brother, my full brother, after our father passed away. This dispute has lasted for years. I sought refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan, and I began to be kind to him and call him, but he does not answer. I visited him with my children to soften the atmosphere, but he did not allow us to enter. What is my position, now that I am suffering, O honorable Shaykh, and my father and mother have passed away?
Answer:
Answer: You have fulfilled the obligation upon you, and he is sinful in boycotting you. So fulfill the obligation upon you, call him, and visit him. If he responds to you and answers you, that is well; otherwise, the sin is upon him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for a Muslim to boycott his brother for more than three nights. They meet, and this one turns away and that one turns away, and the best of them is the one who begins with the greeting.”
