The Form of Supplication for the Deceased After Burial.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is there a specific form of supplication prescribed to be recited after the burial of the deceased, and are the hands raised or not?

Answer:
Answer: My brother, when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) finished burying one of the deceased, he stood at his grave and said to the Muslims: "Seek forgiveness for your brother and ask Allah for him to be granted steadfastness, for he is now being questioned." So when the Muslims finish burying a Muslim, they stand at his grave and ask Allah for him to be granted steadfastness, because it is the time when the two angels question him in the grave. This is a confirmed and established Sunnah from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). They raise their hands, and there is no harm in that. "O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, grant him steadfastness. O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, grant him steadfastness."
