The questioner : He says: There is a mosque in our village, and there is a shrine for a close friend of Allah on the wall of the mosque, and the courtyard in front of the mosque contains graves for which vows are made and land is endowed, as is the case with the close friend of Allah. In this area, they pray the afternoon, sunset, and night prayers, and the graves are behind the worshippers during prayer. The second and third rows of worshippers have the graves to their left, and the rows of worshippers are not equal in length. Is it permissible to pray in such a mosque and in this area?

The Shaykh : The matter in this case returns to the affairs of mosques and graveyards in your area, so refer to them. If they wish to seek a ruling, let them send us a formal inquiry so that we may clarify for them what they should fear, if Allah wills, according to what has come in the Book and the Sunnah.
