Question:
Can a person in a state of ritual impurity touch the mushaf, books of tafsir, or books of hadith?

Answer:
Answer: There is nothing wrong with touching books of tafsir and books of hadith directly. As for the mushaf, it should not be touched except with a barrier between the hand and the book. It is not permissible for a person in a state of ritual impurity to touch it directly. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No one should touch the Qur'an except one who is in a state of purity.”
