The questioner : The questioner asks: What is the ruling on eating the slaughtered animals of the worshippers of graves who are in our current era, and who pray, fast, and perform all types of worship?
The Shaykh : The mushrik (one who associates partners with Allah) is not to be eaten from his slaughter, nor is one to pray behind him, nor is his prayer, fasting, or charity accepted, nor is it permissible for him to enter Makkah. He must repent to Allah from shirk (associating partners with Allah) before he dies upon it, for whoever dies upon shirk, Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his abode is the Fire, and there are no helpers for the wrongdoers.
And I advise the scholars of the lands in which there are graves that are worshipped, and I fear them with Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for it is obligatory upon them to clarify to these common people the ruling of Allah the Exalted regarding these graves, and regarding the shirk (associating partners with Allah) committed with them. Allah the Exalted said:[Ali 'Imran 3:187].
And indeed, Satan whispers to some of the scholars, saying: If you rebuke these common people, you will not be a master among them. This is an error. When a person forbids what Allah has forbidden and commands what Allah has commanded, he becomes a true master, for the outcome is for the righteous. So my brothers among the people of knowledge in those lands must clarify the truth, and let not the blame of any blamer affect them in the matter of Allah, for they are accountable for that.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture, [saying], "You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it." But they threw it away behind their backs and exchanged it for a small price. And wretched is that which they purchased.
