A Guiding Address to the Muslim Community Regarding Takfiri Groups

Question:
Shaykh Saleh: As the community passes through these calamities resulting from these misguided takfiri sects and groups, what word are you directing to the general community in this regard?

Answer:
Answer: We direct the word to the general community to adhere to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and to what the righteous Salaf were upon, and to adhere to the imam of the Muslims and the group of the Muslims, and not to deviate from them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And hold fast to the group, for the hand of Allah is with the group, and whoever deviates, deviates into the Fire." This is as you hear in every one of the transmitted Friday sermons, not the improvised ones or the off-the-cuff speeches; rather, in the transmitted sermons there is such speech: the exhortation to the group, the exhortation to adhering to obedience and listening, the exhortation to the Muslim being with the Muslims and adhering to the group of the Muslims. So these young people should learn, and praise be to Allah, the means of learning are available, either in the mosques and under the hands of scholars, or through formal education and the study of Islamic curricula, for therein is the correct guidance for the youth and the clarification of the correct methodology for them. There is no salvation for them from these trials and the callers to misguidance except through beneficial knowledge by which they know the truth from falsehood and guidance from misguidance, the knowledge that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) brought.
